After the New Year of 2026, the RLC team took part in a 3-day, 2-night offsite workshop in Pranburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
This was not just an outing but it was a meaningful Workshop on Business Process Development designed to help our team reflect on our work, understand the bigger business picture, and grow together as one organization.
Led by Business Process Improvement expert Don Cook, together with Managing Director Markus Wehrhahn, the workshop aimed to align the RLC team with a shared direction, strengthen collaboration, and prepare us for the company’s goals in 2026.
Workshop on Business Process Development: Building Collaboration Through Cross-Functional Understanding
One of the core ideas behind this Workshop on Business Process Development was simple: great teamwork starts with understanding how each function contributes to the business.
Instead of focusing only on individual roles, team members explored how different business functions work together to drive RLC forward.
Business Function Awareness Activity
Teams began by identifying all key business functions within RLC. Each participant then assessed their knowledge level for each function on a scale of 1–5. To make the experience interactive, participants physically stood according to their knowledge level. Some functions had only one expert standing alone, while others formed small groups—creating a fun and honest visual reflection of our strengths and learning opportunities.
Strengthening Team Culture Through Meaningful Connections
Beyond processes and performance, the Workshop on Business Process Development also focused on something equally important—team culture and human connection.
Heart-to-Heart with Our Team Leaders
In this activity, team leaders sat in the center while team members shared words of appreciation, gratitude, and honest reflections.
Although some teams rarely express emotions openly during daily work, this session revealed the strong trust and respect within RLC.
Many emotional moments were shared—especially among leaders and team members who have grown together since the early days of the company.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, authenticity, and mutual appreciation—making it one of the most memorable moments of the workshop.
Evaluating Work Through a Business Lens: Aligning Efforts with Long-Term Impact
As the workshop moved into its strategic phase, participants evaluated the value of their current responsibilities through a structured framework.
Business Value Assessment Workshop
Each team member listed tasks related to their role and rated them across several dimensions, including:
- How well RLC performs the task today
- Potential improvement in the future
- Customer response and expectations
- The overall value to both customers and the organization
This exercise helped participants identify which tasks should be prioritized to create the most impact over the next 3, 6, and 12 months. The insights were then connected to RLC’s OKR framework, enabling teams to define clear goals and measurable outcomes.
What RLC Gained from This Workshop on Business Process Development
The offsite workshop provided more than just tools or frameworks—it strengthened the foundation of how we work together as a team.
Key outcomes included:
- A broader understanding of the business ecosystem
- Stronger cross-team communication
- New perspectives on collaboration
- Greater alignment with RLC’s future direction
- Motivation and inspiration for continuous growth
Most importantly, everyone walked away with a clearer understanding of why we do what we do—and how we will grow together toward 2026.
More Than Training: A Foundation for Sustainable Growth
This Workshop on Business Process Development was more than a training program. It became a powerful platform for strengthening team culture, aligning business priorities, and empowering employees to use their strengths to the fullest. Through shared learning, honest reflection, and meaningful connections, the RLC team gained clarity, confidence, and a unified vision for the future—ready to move forward together as a stronger organization.
