EGS Plan is the Thailand practice of EGS International, an engineering consultancy founded in Stuttgart, Germany. It was established in Thailand around 15 years ago by Dr. Robert, an EGS International engineer who brought the firm’s expertise with him. To meet Thai ownership requirements, EGS Plan operates as a partnership under two Managing Directors. Today its team of around ten architects and engineers delivers three core services — engineering consulting, energy audits, and green-building consulting across multiple certification standards — with a clear ambition to be the best sustainability consultant and the best energy-audit team in Thailand.
The Problem
As EGS Plan grew, its entire HR function — personnel administration, payroll, and people development — sat with a single administrator who was also responsible for billing and accounting.
What worked comfortably for a handful of tasks became a bottleneck as the workload multiplied. With finance demands rising, the three HR responsibilities increasingly took a back seat, opening gaps in day-to-day people management and raising the risk of staff turnover. After roughly six months of mounting strain, leadership concluded that a specialist HR partner was needed. The company evaluated several providers and chose RLC.

The Solution
RLC took ownership of the three HR functions that had been stretching the internal team: payroll, personnel administration, and people development.
To modernize day-to-day operations, RLC implemented HRM Platform, an app-based platform that moved check-in, clock-in and clock-out, and expense claims online — replacing spreadsheets and paper with a transparent, self-service experience for every employee. RLC also introduced a structured one-on-one program as a proactive way to stay close to the team, and continues to act as an on-call advisor, guiding EGS Plan’s leadership on people-management questions as they arise.
The Results
Since partnering with RLC, EGS Plan’s internal team has been freed from running payroll, handling employee paperwork, managing the HR system, and conducting one-on-ones — letting them focus on their core project work.
The impact shows in the number that matters most: staff turnover has fallen to near zero.
